ScanJet 4100C/­Cse/­Cxi USB Update driver for HP Scanjet 4100cxi HP USB Fix for Windows Me USB (only) on fresh install,­ v 1.­0,­ for the 4100c series If you have been using the 4100 with Win95 or Win98 and have recently upgraded to Windows ME and installed the original 4100 scanning software (PrecisionScan LT 1.­0),­ it may have asked you whether you wanted to 'update your USB Supplement?­' If you answered 'Yes' to this question then you will need this update to correct the USB drivers for Win ME.­ This software update fixes the following issues: Scanner not working.­ OS Error This update will only run on Windows Me.­ Installation Instructions: Make sure the scanner software is installed.­ Close all applications except your browser.­ Choose the file you want to download to your system.­ With your mouse,­ click on the file.­ The file will decompress into a default folder c:sj408,­ or any folder of your choice.­ Go to c:sj408 (or the folder you chose).­ Double-click on the file you downloaded.­ Click "Unzip" on the window that appears,­ then "OK" twice.­ The software upgrade will install automatically.­ Restart the computer.­ Compatible devices: C6293A
