Dial-up Patch for HP Jornada 680e Handheld Type: Application This is only applicable to the HP Jornada 680e model with no built-in modem.­ This patch will fix the HP dialup setting if you encounter "no carrier detected" while dialing using HP dialup.­ It sets the "Cancel the call if not connected within X seconds" to 120 seconds.­ To install this patch: 1.­) Connect the HP Jornada 680e to the desktop PC using Windows CE services.­ 2.­) Copy the downloaded patch dial_­s.­exe to "My Handheld PC" folder on the mobile device.­ 3.­) Double tap on the patch dial_­s.­exe.­ Note that no dialog will appear.­ 4.­) Disconnect the device from the desktop PC.­ 5.­) Perform a soft reset of the HP Jornada 680e by pressing the reset button.­ Note: This installation file dial_­s.­exe can be deleted after the installation is completed.­ You will need to re-install it again if a hard reset is performed on the device.­
