Firmware for HP Business Inkjet 3000n Type: Firmware Step 1: Do you need to upgrade? This is a upgrade is applicable for all business inkjet 3000 printers currently installed with firmware versions Base 62/ PDL 60 or lower. It is compatible with Mac OS X. This version is released to with the following fixes, features and enhancements: 1. Improved Auto Pen Alignment. 2. Issue: vertical banding problems (in Photo superbest, special best and brochure best). 3. Issue: appearance of 'unable to resume printing' message on the CD panel after repeated opening and closing of the printer cover. 4. Printer unable to display the media mount prompt, 'hanging/freezing' and a continuous display of the "processing job" message. Customers who require the printer enhancements and fixes mentioned above should upgrade the existing firmware to version Base 64. For detailed download instructions and defect fixes, please refer to the hpbij3000readme file. To successfully upgrade the firmware, instructions in the file hpbij3000readme MUST be followed. "Click here to view the hpbij3000readme file." To check the version of your firmware, do the following; Print a Configuration Page. 1. Turn on the printer. Wait for the printer to display READY on the LCD control panel. 2. Press the Check mark button once to display INFORMATION MENU. 3. Press the scroll button once to display PRINT CONFIGURATION. 4. Press the Check mark button to print the Configuration Page, which lists the currently installed firmware version.
